An Australian actress born in Melbourne, she is of Anglo-Indian descent. She studied law at La Trobe University and began attending acting auditions at a young age, starting acting at a young age. One of her early roles was in 1990, when she played a part in Paul Cox's film Golden Braid. She attended the Victorian College of Art and graduated in 1994, and also trained at the Prahran College of Dramatic Arts in 1991. She began her film career with small roles, such as Mary in Dead Letter Office (1998), followed by films like Mallboy (2000) and The Boys Are Back (2009). She also appeared in several television series, including Mr. & Mrs. Murder (2013) and Newton's Law (2017).
