He toured various British provinces during World War II, and directed many plays. In the cinema, he reappeared in talking pictures, and he presented many supporting roles, and when the television broadcast began, he participated in some television programs. Among his notable works: The Ghost Camera (1933), East of Shanghai (1931), and Guest of Honor (1934). He died of a heart attack in southern France on June 9, 1962.
