British actor, born in Muswell Hill, London, on April 28, 1910. He got married to actress Betty Cooper (1937-1964), who remained with him until his death. He made his film debut in Life of St. Paul (1938), and his last appearance was in the TV series Zero One (1963-1965). Among his important works: BBC Sunday-Night Theater (1958-1959), H.M. Tennent Globe Theater (1956), and The Black Tulip (1956). He died in Barnes, London, on May 27, 1964.
