A Colombian director, born in Bogotá, Colombia. Her work focuses on the lives and experiences of the working class in Colombia, and she is a pioneer in anthropological documentary filmmaking in Latin America. Her notable films include Chircales (1972), Campesinos (1975), Nuestra voz de tierra, memoria y futuro (1982), and La Toma del Milenio (2015).
