British actor, born in Devon, England, on November 20, 1908. In 1967, he got married to Gwen Williams Roberts, and they had 3 daughters. He was educated at Clifton College, and made his debut on the London stage in 1931. From 1958 till 1962, he became a writer and producer of documentaries. Among his important works are: Mystery and Imagination (1966), The Avengers (1967), and Always a Bride (1953). He died in Alderney, United Kingdom on September 29, 1989.
