He was married to actress June Fenley, and they both retired by the mid-1980s. Among his notable works are Live a Little, Love a Little (1968), Thank God It's Friday (1978), and St. Ives (1976). He died in Huntington Beach, California, USA, on March 7, 2007, at the age of 88.
