American actor, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, on February 26, 1927. He got married to actress Pepper Curtis. He was also a stunt double. He made his acting debut in Hitler (1962), and his last movie was Killing Stone (1978). Among his notable works are: The Deer Hunter...Read more (1978), The Black Hole (1979), and Pajama Party (1964). He died while skydiving when trying to rescue an amateur jumper, entangled in his parachute, and the two fell together, to his death at the age of 52 in Lake Elsinore, California, on September 2, 1979.
