A trans actress, singer, and recording artist, born in the Bronx, on May 30, 1926, as George William Jorgensen. She was drafted into the US Army during World War II shortly after graduating from high school in 1945. After her discharge from the military, she attended Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, New York, the Progressive School of Photography in New Haven, Connecticut, and the Manhattan Medical and Dental Assistant School in New York City. Also, she worked for Pathé News. She is known for Kaming mga talyada: We Who Are Sexy (1962), The Christine Jorgensen Story (1970), and What Sex Am I? (1985). She died on May 3, 1989, in San Clemente, California, USA.
