An American singer and actress, born in Larson, Idaho, USA, on July 13, 1923, as Norma Beatrice Larsen. She married Randal H. Zimmer in 1945, with whom she had two children, and remained with him until his death in 2008. Her most notable work includes The Meredith Willson Show (1949), Mr. Music (1950), and Glory (1956). She sang in the church choir before traveling to Los Angeles to sing professionally, and there, she worked on the radio as a soloist and singer. Norma Zimmer had been a prominent Hollywood singer for more than a decade during the 1940s prior to her entry into films, and after retiring from acting in the early 1960s, she continued her singing career with the Lawrence Welk Orchestra. She died in Brea, California, USA, on May 10, 2011, at the age of 87.
