Spanish actress and singer, born as María Antonia Abad Fernández on March 10, 1928 in Campo de Criptana, Spain. She received many awards and honors in Spain and abroad. She was married 4 times and had many affairs. She is known for Varietés (1971), La Bella Lola (1962), and The Last Torch Song (1957). She became the world's most famous and highest-paid star in Spanish cinema in the 1960s. She appeared in nearly 50 films and recorded about 500 songs in five different languages. She left with her mother to Mexico and signed a contract to star in 12 films until 1954. She went to Hollywood and presented several films, the first of which was Vera Cruz (1954). She died on April 8, 2013 (age 85) in Madrid, Spain.
