A British stage and film actress, singer, and dancer, born in London, England as Irene Muriel Browne. Some of her credits include Drink (1917), Berkeley Square (1933), The Red Shoes (1948), and A House in the Square (1949). She appeared in West End in London, worked for 3 years...Read more in Australian theaters, spent two years in New York theaters, and returned to Britain to continue her theatrical work, participating in some silent British films, after which she went to Hollywood with the introduction of talkies and made a number of films during the thirties. She died of cancer in 1965.
