British actress, and dancer, born on July 7, 1911, in Covent Garden, London, England. She had a career in the show business spanning over 70 years. Franklin entered show business as a teenager. In 1929, she took dancing lessons at the Theatre Girls Club, in Soho in London's West End, and she later became a founder member of a quartet known as Four Brilliant Blondes. One of her first screen appearances was in Before I Wake (1955). She appeared in various productions such as, plays, series, and films. She is known for BBC Sunday-Night Play (1960-1963), EastEnders (1985-2000), and The Three Musketeers (1973). She was married to the writer, Caswell Garth. She died on July 11, 2005, at the age of 94, in Barnes, London, England.
