A British singer and actress, born on November 3, 1948, in Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom, as Marie McDonald McLaughlin Lawrie. Her credits include To Sir, with Love (1967). She was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the 2000 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to entertainment, and Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2021 Queen's Birthday Honours List for her services to music, entertainment, and charity. Lulu is the only British artist to have a number-one single on the US charts with a song that did not chart in the UK. She was the first wife of Maurice Gibb and is the grandmother of Isabella Rose Frieda.
