A British actress and writer, born in 1956 in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, United Kingdom. Her works include Cordelia (2019), The Casual Vacancy (2015), and The Hour (2011). Hetty was previously married to Ken Russell, and their son Rex, who was born on January 7, 1993, is a film director. She started her career as a ballerina at the Royal Ballet School. At the age of 12, she made her debut in Rudolf Nureyev's "The Nutcracker" at the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London. She graduated with an MA in Creative Writing in 2015 from Birkbeck, University of London, from which she also obtained a BA in Philosophy in the late 1980s. Moreover, Hetty studied for a BA in Fine Art at Central Saint Martins and had an exhibition at the Strand Gallery in London entitled "Betsy and Blapsy".
