An English actress, writer, and theater director, born on February 3, 1880, in Worcestershire, England. She was the wife of the late actor Charles Maude and the mother of his daughter and actress, Joan Maude. She began her artistic career on stage, in cooperation with the Frank Benson theatrical company.
She presented many plays, such as The Two Mr. Wetherbys (1903) and Outward Bound (1923). She also established her own theater, under the name of People's National Theatre in 1930. She is known for The Speckled Band (1931), The Stars Look Down (1940), and Down Our Street (1932). She died on March 31, 1970, in Worthing, Sussex, England, UK.
