In 1978, she began her education at the Zinner Film Studio. Before attending acting classes, she worked as an employee in a book club. She lived in Munich, Germany from 1978 until her death. She was a founding member of the German Screen Actors Guild. She died on May 23, 2009, in Wolfratshausen, Bavaria, Germany from breast cancer.
