Salma El-Sharkawy |
British actor and comedian, born on November 14, 1930, in London, England. He worked as a bank clerk and later became an actor after appearing in amateur dramatic performances in Hitchin, where he and his family lived at the time. Besides appearing in numerous roles in TV and film productions, he also had an extensive career as a radio actor. His credits include The Pink Panther Strikes Again (1976), The Great Muppet Caper (1981), and Holiday on the Buses (1973). Robbins was an indefatigable worker for charity and the Catholic Stage Guild, and he received a Papal Award for his services in 1987. He died from cancer in Caterham, Surrey, on December 11, 1992.
