Austrian actor, director, and writer, born on April 4, 1971, in Vienna, Austria. His works include The Best of All Worlds (2017) and Labyrinth of Lies (2014). His debut short film as a writer and director, The Frozen Sea, won numerous awards at film festivals around the world and also won a LOLA (German Oscar) for Best Short Film in 2007. He became known for his leading role in Michael Haneke's 71 Fragments of a Chronology of Chance. It was shown at Cannes in 1994 and won amongst other awards the Golden Hugo at Chicago International Film Festival.
