A British actress, born in Leeds, England, United Kingdom, as Barbara E Mason. She attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art as a teenager for three years and worked as a teacher for two years. She then returned to the stage after getting involved with a theater company in Coventry and a touring company in Doncaster and they toured Yorkshire and performed plays on various subjects. In 1997, she joined the cast of Casualty and has since appeared in several popular dramas. Her credits include The Turning (2020), Hamlet (2015), A Passionate Woman (2010), and Casualty (1989-1999). She married writer Mike Kenny.
