American actor born Frederick Grant Somers on 27 April 1893 in Atlantic City, New Jersey, US. He has appeared in over 300 works in film and TV. His most notable works include Tweet's Ladies of Pasadena (1979). He married Evelyn S. Offutt and they had one child. He died of a heart attack on 18 September 1970 in Los Angeles, California.
