Toqa Hesham |
A Brazilian actress, born in Bahia, Brazil. At the age of eight, she began training in ballet, jazz, and contemporary dance, then studied flamenco dancing under Roberto Amaral and Yolanda Arroyo in Los Angeles. She then switched to journalism and obtained a degree from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro. She also studied drama at the Dirceu de Mattos School in Rio de Janeiro and studied English for a year and then traveled to London. She auditioned for the London International School of Performing Arts and passed the audition despite the language barrier. In 2003, she appeared in the independent film Emotional Backgammon and won the Best Actress award at the Denver Film Festival. Her other credits include Ali G Indahouse, Longitude, EastEnders, and Casualty.
