British actor, born in Durham, England, on February 8, 1900. Jack made his film debut in Ann Vickers (1933) and ended his career with Party Girl (1958). He played a lot of supporting roles such as the police officer, the soldier, and the judge. Among his important works: The Thin Man (1957), Perry Mason (1957), and The Great Gatsby (1949). He died in Los Angeles, on September 30, 1958. |
