A British singer, actor, and journalist, born on June 23, 1940, in Acton, London, England, United Kingdom, as Terence Nelhams Wright. He became the first UK artist to lodge his initial seven hits in the top 5 and was one of the most charted acts of the 1960s. He was nominated for a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor for the musical drama Stardust (1974) and received the Best Actor Award for the same movie at the Taormina International Film Festival. His works include Nina Forever (2015) and Wild for Kicks (1960). He married former dancer Jackie Irving in 1967 and they had one daughter, Katya Nelhams-Wright, a director. He died on March 8, 2003, in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, United Kingdom.
