British writer, born on December 14, 1958, in Edinburgh, Scotland, UK. He is the founding member, lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter of the rock band The Waterboys. He attended The University of Edinburgh and studied English literature and philosophy. He is known for About Time (2013), The Killing of a Sacred Deer (2017), and Good Will Hunting (1997).
