An Italian director and screenwriter, born in Naples, Campania, Italy. He started his career in 1984 when he served as a stage director in the TV movie Tango glaciale. He won and was nominated for several important awards in many major film festivals, such as Cannes, Venice, and Torino. He was also a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival in 2000, as well as at the Venice Film Festival in 1995. He married writer Ippolita Di Majo in 2010 and they have one child. Some of his credits include The King of Laughter (2021) and Capri-Revolution (2018). |
