She joined the Claudia Fres (1994-2000) and Jorge Eines (1998-1999) Schools of Dramatic Art before traveling on a scholarship to the United States, where she completed her studies in the field of arts, and then she obtained a doctorate in theatrical arts from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain. Mata participated in many works, such as Al salir de clase and La dársena de poniente.
