An American actor and singer, born on August 28, 1884, in Campbell County, Kentucky, USA. He was also a vaudeville performer and appeared in over 200 productions. His parents were English immigrants. He launched his career as a singer and appeared in several Broadway musicals. With the introduction of sound in films, he started landing several supporting roles such as the singer, plumber, cop, or cook. He is known for his appearances in A Man Betrayed (1936), Circus Shadows (1935), and The Heat's On (1943). He died at the age of 67 on October 20, 1951, in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA. |
