A New Zealand actress living in Berlin. She began her career as a stage actress in Wellington, playing leading roles in works by Shakespeare and Chekhov, as well as in contemporary drama. She moved to Germany in 1991 and has played a wide range of roles in film and television productions, working with directors such as Tom Tykwer, Margarethe von Trotta, and Mike Newell. Her credits include The Lost Samaritan (2008), God (2016), and Nö (2021), and she also provided voice acting for the animated film A Stork's Journey 2 (2023).
