He was an American actor and director, born on January 29, 1909, in Sumner, Washington, USA, as Edward MacMillan Dew. He is known for his starring roles in B-movie western films during the 1940s. He started directing both films and television in the 1950s. He is known for Trail to Gunsight (1944), Beyond the Pecos (1945), and Beyond the Last Frontier (1943). He was married to Mary Dew, with whom he had one child. He passed away at the age of 63 from a brain tumor on April 6, 1972, in Burbank, California, USA.
