He started directing both films and television in the 1950s. He is known for Trail to Gunsight (1944), Beyond the Pecos (1945), and Beyond the Last Frontier (1943). He was married to Mary Dew, with whom he had one child. He passed away at the age of 63 from a brain tumor on April 6, 1972, in Burbank, California, USA.
