His notable works include Zombies of the Stratosphere (1952), Radar Patrol vs. Spy King (1949), and The Crimson Ghost (1946). He was married to Iris Van Sickel, with whom he had two children. He died at the age of 69 on January 25, 1977, in Newport Beach, California, USA, after a car crash stunt caused him serious injuries.
