At the age of five, she worked as a model and cover girl. She went to Gardner School in New York, where she participated in a few plays, and graduated from West Beverly High School. Later, she went to Fox Studio School and studied ballet and ballroom dancing. She launched her professional acting career when she was 11. As soon as she started to grow up, her career started to decline. She stopped acting in 1954 and spent her last years serving her community. She is known for her roles in Mr. Blandings Builds His Dream House (1948), Sentimental Journey (1946), and Dragonwyck (1946). She was married to Franklin Dunbar Geldert, with whom she had four children, but they got divorced. She passed away of cancer on May 22, 2001, in Santa Rosa, California, USA.
