An American actor, born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA. Before pursuing an acting career, he worked at the Metropolitan Opera in New York from 1923 through 1935 as a leading character tenor. He appeared in a number of additional and supporting roles in both television and film. He is known for On the Town (1949), The Monster and the Girl (1941), and Man Made Monster (1941). He died on December 17, 1963, in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA.
