An American actress, born on July 14, 1886, in San Francisco, California, USA, as Edith Victoria Humburg. Her parents worked in vaudeville. She was the leading lady of the stock company at the Wigwam Theatre in San Francisco in 1917 before appearing on screen. Her acting career spanned from the 1930s to the 1950s, where she appeared in gentle maternal or domestic roles. She is known for Vacation Days (1947), High School Hero (1946), and Freddie Steps Out (1946). She was married to Charles Elven Elliott, with whom she had children before getting divorced. She died at the age of 91 on April 9, 1978, in San Diego, California, USA.
