Shaimaa Saied |
An American stage, film and television actress, born in Oregon City, Oregon, USA, on April 3, 1905, as Velma Margaret Randall. She began acting in high school productions, and later in college, graduating from Stanford University in 1927. She worked on Broadway and at the Greek Theatre and was in more than 100 plays on many theaters in America.
She started her film career in 1942, and she was active in television since its establishment. She was also an active member of the American Women for International Understanding and the Hemlock Society. She got married twice and had 3 children. Among her notable works are Voice in the Mirror (1958), You Are There (1956), and Miss Sadie Thompson (1953). She died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on March 2, 2001.
