Shaimaa Saied |
An American actor, born in Independence, Missouri, USA, on December 12, 1881. He began his career in the silent era and continued to work in talking pictures. Before his work in cinema, he was an animal trainer and lion tamer in vaudeville and traveling circuses. From 1924 until the early 1930s, he was the superintendent of Universal Pictures' zoo. In films, he played various roles such as animal trainer, policeman, gangster and truck driver.
He married Lillian L. Myrick (1919-1942), they had one child, and she remained with him until his death. Among his notable works are Spell of the Circus (1930), The Jungle Stockade (1915) and The Great Circus Mystery (1925). He died in Bakersfield, California, USA, on June 11, 1942, following a car accident on location.
