An American actor, born to German immigrants in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on November 26, 1883. He was a stage actor in vaudeville and musical comedies in the twenties, and later in silent cinema. He continued his film career after the introduction of sound into films. He presented various roles in films such as a porter, a detective and a waiter. Among his notable works are Air Police (1931), Behind the Headlines (1937) and Venus of Venice (1927). He died in Los Angeles, California, USA, on February 13, 1954.
