An American actor, director, producer and makeup artist, born in San Francisco, California, USA, on April 6, 1887. He started his activity in vaudeville, then went to the cinema in 1914 to present more than 200 short silent films. He continued his career after the entry of sound in films, as he played various roles such as bartender, drunkard and American West movie characters. In the 1920s, he directed silent western films. Among his notable works are Custer's Last Stand (1936), Chasing Trouble (1926) and Bucking the Truth (1926). He died in Pacoima, California, USA on January 28, 1964.
