British actor, born in Radcliffe, Manchester, England, United Kingdom. He was married to the actress Corinne Jaber, with whom he had two children, then got married to the actress Ivanka Polchenco. He made his debut in the series Broad and Narrow (1965). He is known for The Unbearable Lightness of Being (1988), Relic Hunter (1999), and The French Revolution (1989). He died on April 15, 2020, in Paris, France, due to Corona complications.
