A Belgian comics writer, born in Brussels, Belgium. He was editor-in-chief of Spirou magazine from 1955 to 1968. His credits include My Smurfy Valentine (1982), The Smurfic Games (1983), and The Smurfs and the Magic Flute (1976). He got nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards in 1983 and 1984. He died on March 5, 2007 in Brussels, Belgium.
