A Belgian comics writer, who was editor-in-chief of Spirou magazine from 1955 to 1968, a period widely regarded as the "golden age" of Franco-Belgian comics. He was born in Brussels, Belgium. His credits include My Smurfy Valentine (1982), The Smurfic Games (1983), and The Smurfs and the Magic Flute (1976). He got nominated for two Primetime Emmy Awards in 1983 and 1984. He died on March 5, 2007, in Brussels, Belgium. |
