Taiwanese actor was born in Tainan, Taiwan, and moved to the United States a few years after his birth. He holds a degree in Performing Arts from the University of Berkeley. He made his debut in 1969 when he participated in the series The Banana Splits Adventure Hour. His works include Die Hard (1988), Police Academy 2: Their First Assignment (1985), Sudden Impact (1983), and Star Trek V: The Final Frontier (1989).
