Italian actress, born in Rome, Lazio, Italy, on November 8, 1892. Her father was an officer in the Italian Royal Marines. She spoke with a heavy English accent, was educated in the monastery, and then went to the University of Rome. She often provided supporting roles in American cinema since 1933, mostly as a foreigner. She stood on stage in 1920, and in the United States, she joined a theater company. Her works include Miss V from Moscow (1942), Call of the South Seas (1944), and Escape to Paradise (1939). She died in San Mateo, California, USA, on November 8, 1959.
