An American actor, born in Payson, Utah, USA, on October 6, 1893, as George Earl Hodgins. He got married twice and had one child. Among his most important works are The Sagebrush Family Trails West (1940), Oregon Trail (1945), Heroes of the Alamo (1937), and The San Antonio Kid (1944). Earle Hodgins was a prolific film and television actor. He served in the US Army during WWI and began his career as a stage actor with traveling troupes. He is known for playing the roles of fast-talking con men, often in Westerns. He died at the age of 70 in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California, USA, on April 14, 1964, of a heart attack. |
