A Colombian-Spanish novelist, essayist, journalist and editor, born Héctor Abad Faciolince in Medellín, Colombia. He is one of Latin America's most gifted post-Latin American Boom writers. His best-selling novel "Angosta" is his most well-known work. He graduated summa cum laude from University of Turin, where he studied Modern Languages and Literature. He's known for Memories of My Father (2020), Carta a una sombra (2015), and No hay Musas sino Mozas, No hay Mozas sino Cosas (1995).
