Add/Update Information: Mordecai Richler - Writer

A Canadian writer and actor, born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. He learned English, French, and Yiddish, and graduated from Baron Byng High School. Richler attended Sir George Williams College (now Concordia University) but dropped out. His children are Daniel Richler, Noah Richler, Emma Richler, and Marfa Richler. His best-known works are The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz (1959) and Barney's Version (1997). In 2000, he was awarded the Companion of the Order of Canada for his services to Canadian Literature. He died on July 3, 2001, in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
