A British actor, writer, producer and director, born in Wandsworth, Surrey, England, UK on January 23, 1913 as William Jordan Lawrence. Among his notable works are BBC Sunday-Night Theatre (1956), Champion House (1967-1968), Riviera Police (1965) and Crane (1963-1965). He worked in film and television, and his career lasted nearly 4 decades. He passed away on February 20, 1991 in Perugia, Umbria, Italy, at the age of 78.
