Lesley Storm was the pseudonym of the Scottish writer Mabel Cowie, who was born in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. She depicted social life in London as it was going through a transition from the Victorian era to the modern era in the novel "Lady, What of Life?". She was the mother of writer and director James Doran. Some of her plays were filmed, such as "Roar Like a Dove" and "Black Chiffon". She died on 19 October 1975 in London, England, UK.
