An American actor, born in St. Louis, Missouri, USA, on June 17, 1908, as Francis Thomas Sullivan. He married Mary Kathleen McKee (1945-1975), with whom he had 3 children, and she remained with him until his death. Among his works are Sleepytime Gal (1942), The Navy Steps Out (1941), The Phantom Thief (1946), and The Grapes of Wrath (1940).
Frank Sully was a prolific, brawny, square-jawed character actor. He usually portrayed rustic characters or idiots. He also had several roles in Three Stooges comedies. He began his career as a comedian in vaudeville and performed on Broadway in the late 1920s. Frank Sully died at the age of 67 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, on December 17, 1975.
