A Mexican film, television, and theater actress, born in New York City and raised in Guanajuato, Mexico. She studied journalism at the Universidad Femenina de Mexico in Mexico City, then changed her major to dance and went on to found the Academy of Contemporary Dance at the University of Guanajuato. She appeared in over 40 films, both Mexican and American, and more than 40 TV series. She was nominated for the Ariel Award twice, the first in 1991 for her role in Por tu maldito amor and the second in 1993 for Serpientes y Escaleras. Her most important works include Amityville 3-D (1983), El secreto de Romelia (1988), and Old Gringo (1989). She died on December 29, 2020, in Guanajuato, Mexico.
